Summer Camp Assistant Counselor

Camp Dates: Weekdays, Monday to Friday
Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Type: Volunteer (All expenses covered)
Age Requirement: High school students (14+ preferred)
We’re looking for enthusiastic Volunteer Assistant Camp Counselors to help guide campers through a summer of connection, learning, and fun! Pick any combination of weeks.
Position Overview
As an Assistant Camp Counselor, you’ll work closely with a Lead Camp Counselor to support one of the Houses.
You’ll assist in supervising campers, organizing activities, and ensuring a safe and positive environment.
This is a great opportunity for high school students looking to gain volunteer hours toward graduation, build leadership and teamwork skills, and spend the summer having a blast outdoors.
Some of Your Responsibilities Include
Assist with daily activities, games, and workshops
Support campers during transitions, meals, and breaks
Help create a fun, inclusive, and safe environment
Model respectful behavior and help resolve minor conflicts
Work collaboratively with Camp Counselors and fellow assistants
Participate in end-of-day clean-up and preparation for the next day
Qualifications
Friendly, positive attitude with a desire to help children
Responsible and punctual
Able to take direction and work as part of a team
Comfortable engaging with children aged 5½ to 13
Previous experience working with kids (babysitting, tutoring, etc.) is a plus
CPR/First Aid certification is helpful but not required
Must be able to commit to at least one full week of camp
